Blue1 is the second largest airline company in Finland with domestic, Scandinavian and other European operations. In 2010, Blue1 served nearly 1.6 million passengers, offering tens of daily flights on its route network, with Helsinki as its main hub. Blue1 has two service classes on all its flights. Blue1 Premium Class focuses on business travel, including excellent service benefits: good seat availability, substantial in-flight meal and bar service, booking flexibility, quick check-in process, Fast Track security check at major airports and Business Lounge access when travelling to our European destinations. Blue1 Economy Class offers a good quality basic service at affordable prices, and it is designed for leisure travelers. All Blue1 route flights are eligible for SAS EuroBonus and other Star Alliance loyalty program points. Fleet and routes, the Blue1 fleet consists of nine Boeing 717 jet aircraft, each with 115 seats and six ATR72/Saab 2000 aircraft, operated by our regional partner. Our fleet fulfils all requirements related to emissions and noise. In 2011, Blue1’s year-round domestic destinations from Helsinki are Kuopio, Vaasa and Oulu, accompanied by seasonal services to Kittilä, Kuusamo and Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. In Scandinavia, Blue1’s destinations are Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, as well as Stockholm from Kalmar, Tampere, Turku and Vaasa. European destinations include Athens, Brussels, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, London, Marseille-Provence, Nice, Split, Pula and Zurich. Code share flights guarantee a wide route network. All Blue1 flights are code share flights with SAS, offering a very frequent route network for SAS flights to Europe, USA, Asia and Middle East. Other code share partners include Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines, Continental Airlines, LOT, Spanair, SWISS and Thai Airways.
