Facts (Overview)
Germanwings operates low-cost flights on behalf of the Lufthansa group, with its focus away from the major Lufthansa hubs of Frankfurt and Munich. Its major operating bases are located in Cologne, Stuttgart and Berlin-Schönefeld, Hannover and Dortmund. It has a network of over seventy-five destinations in Europe for the present summer season, which are a mix of city markets and sunshine routes, with a strong presence in southern Europe. For the present Summer season Germanwings has launched five new Italian destinations.
