Birmingham Airport is the Midlands’ principal international airport and one of the UK’s most significant regional gateways.
In 2025, BHX handled 13.7 million passengers, the highest annual figure in its history, and a significant increase compared to 2014 when 9.7 million passengers passed through the Airport. Over the same period, freight volumes have increased rapidly from 5,100 tonnes to 62,000 tonnes.
