Airport is going interactive

Cardiff Airport has launched a number of new social media channels in order to improve its communications and offer a more interactive service for passengers.

The new channels will encourage travellers from South Wales to get in touch directly with the airport if they have any queries or concerns, and for feedback on their experience travelling through airport. It will also allow for news, offers and competitions to be issued for passengers to enjoy.

The channels now available include the following:

  • Twitter @Cardiff_Airport
  • Facebook  Cardiff-Airport
  • YouTube CardiffAirport
  • Flickr Cardiff_Airport

All channels can be accessed by clicking on the relevant icons on the home page of the airport’s website, www.tbicardiffairport.com.

Cassie Houghton, marketing and PR manager for the airport commented: “Offering interactive channels will improve the service we deliver to our passengers as it gives an alternative method to the telephone switchboard for those who want to get in touch with us. If they have any queries they will receive a rapid response from a member of the airport team, and it also enables us to communicate information, promotions and special offers instantly to a mass audience.

Channels such as Twitter and Facebook prove especially useful during abnormal operations such as snow in order to keep our travellers informed of the latest situation.”
