Busy Bank Holiday Weekend Ahead At Dublin Airport

More than 400,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport this August Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday, August 4 to Monday, August 7.

Passenger figures are up 4% over the same weekend last year, with over 2,669 flights expected to arrive and depart during this time.

This Sunday is set to be the busiest day of the weekend with over 104,000 passengers expected to arrive and depart through both terminals.

Dublin Airport has welcomed more than 804,000 additional passengers during the first half of 2017, with passenger numbers increasing by 6% to just over 13.8 million during the first six months of the year.

Passenger volumes are continuing to grow according to Dublin Airport Managing Director, Vincent Harrison.

“The addition of 12 new services to our route network this year, coupled with extra frequencies on many existing routes has contributed to the increases that we are experiencing in passenger numbers,” said Mr Harrison.
