Ireland West Airport Knock is the main international air access gateway for the West, North West and Midland regions of Ireland. The Airport has experienced rapid developments and now serves more than 28 scheduled and charter destinations across the UK and Europe.d. In 2011, the annual number of passengers using Ireland West Knock increased by over 60,000 passengers to 654,500 - an increase of 11% on 2011. The airport has new services to Dusseldorf with Lufthansa, Leeds with Flybe and Barcelona, Frankfurt, Milan and Paris starting in March 2012 a year which is expected to be the busiest in the airports history with passenger numbers reaching 720,000.
