Innovation Norway and Avinor wins best destination marketing award

Yesterday, Innovation Norway won the "Best Destination Marketing" award at the Routes Europe 2015 event in Aberdeen, Scotland. The award is considered one of the most prestigious in the field, and is the airline industry's professional award for marketing destinations and routes over the last year.

. Innovation Norway and Avinor were voted to the top by a panel of judges representing international airlines.

"We are very grateful for this award, which proves that our international marketing efforts benefit our partners in further developing and selling, while also gaining international attention and respect," says Per-Arne Tuftin, head of international trade and development in Innovation Norway.

Brussels Airport won the Routes Marketing Award, while Innovation Norway won in the category best destination marketing in Europe. Other nominees in this category included Tenerife, Algarve, Montpellier and Valencia.

Cooperation yields good results

Avinor accepted the prize during the award ceremony in Aberdeen this year, on behalf of Innovation Norway. Cooperation in marketing Norway abroad has been carried out in a strategic, comprehensive and long-term manner. The campaigns have been carefully designed to highlight Norway's unique and magnificent countryside and cultural landscape. Airlines in the relevant markets have also participated as partners in the prize-winning campaigns.
