Facts (Overview)

Hermes Airports Ltd assumed management and control of Larnaka and Pafos International Airports on 12 May 2006, under a 25 year Build-Operate-Transfer concession agreement with the Republic of Cyprus. Hermes is a company registered in Cyprus - an international consortium of 9 shareholders, representing a mix of Cypriot and international partners.

The Concession Agreement includes a €622 plan to develop both airports through construction of a new passenger terminal building at each site and other associated infrastructure. The new passenger terminal in Pafos will open November 2008.

At Pafos, annual capacity will increase to 2.7m passengers. A Phase 2 development plan is in place to meet future air travel demands. At both Airports, major upgrades to the existing passenger terminals have been made, with complete redevelopment of retail & catering outlets and expansion and modernization of arrivals facilities and car parking.

Together, the two airports handled over 7m pax in 2007
