Chicago Rockford International Airport (KRFD) is an international grade airport 56 miles northwest of Chicago O'Hare. A Top 25 Air Cargo Airport in the United States, RFD has a 10,000 ft primary runway with a CAT III ILS. RFD's air cargo presence has provided it with unparalleled facilities for an airport of its size. The airport has an international arrival gate, 24/7/365 Air Traffic Control Tower and independent airspace from Chicago O'Hare.  RFD has a 90 minute population base of 8.4 million passengers and currently provides non-stop flights to eight destinations with four air service partners. In 2012 RFD served 210,000 passengers and implemented a strategic plan to double passenger traffic by the end of 2015.
