Ryanair welcomes its 7-millionth passenger in Berlin

Ryanair has reached a milestone at Berlin Schönefeld airport

The airline welcomed its 7-millionth passenger in Berlin. The milestone passenger travelled from Dublin to Berlin and was presented with a flight voucher for two people to mark the special occasion. Furthermore, the Berlin business of the Irish low fares airline is developing well. Increasing passenger numbers and additional flights led to a new passenger record in 2014. Compared with 2013, passenger volume increased by 31 per cent. The number of flights per year also rose substantially by over 24 per cent compared to the previous year. Additionally, more and more destinations are being served from Berlin.

Ryanair connects Berlin to London Stansted, Dublin, East Midlands, Oslo Rygge, Milan Bergamo, Porto and Shannon. On 29 March, the Irish carrier will be adding a new connection to Madrid, flying to the Spanish capital up to twice a day. From 3 April, there will be two flights a week from Berlin to Palermo. The airline will serve the Sicilian capital on Mondays and Fridays from Schönefeld. In addition, with the introduction of the winter flight schedule 2015/2016, Ryanair will be adding the Berlin-Glasgow connection to its route network.
