There has been significant growth in the demand for travel between Zagreb and Sweden. In 2008 MIDT indicates that passengers between Sweden and Zagreb increased by 24% to 28,083 during the year. Demand for travel to Stockholm was particularly strong with demand increasing by 50% to 19,732. Swedish visitors to Croatia increased by 5% to 134,409.

Athens is an emerging destination from Zagreb. According to MIDT for 2008, 8,159 passengers traveled between Zagreb and the Greek capital in 2008. Greek visitors to Croatia are also increasing, over 13,000 Greek visitors traveled to Croatia in 2008, and increase of 27%.
