Lapland Daybreak from Aberdeen announced

A day trip to Santa’s Lap Land has just been announced by tour operator Transun, flying from Aberdeen International Airport in December 2015.

Departing from Aberdeen early morning on 6 December, excited families will set off on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see Santa Claus in his Arctic homeland. Upon arrival in Lapland, youngsters and adults alike will mush their own team of husky dogs, ride snowmobiles and take reindeer sleighs through the snow, before having a very special meeting with Santa, himself.  A dedicated charter flight will return all adventurers later that evening.

To celebrate the launch of the departure there are a limited number of free child places available for parties of four or more.

A tour operator for over thirty years, Transun specialises in breaks to the Arctic Circle and offers dedicated charter flights to Lapland from regional airports in the UK – Aberdeen being its newest offering.

Transun’s James Crawshaw said: “This is a fun-filled day in Lapland which both adults and children will enjoy – and how many people can say they have been to see the real Santa in Lapland and returned home in time for supper?!’ .

Carol Benzie, MD of Aberdeen International Airport said: “We are delighted with the announcement of such a unique experience and have no doubt that the day trip to Lapland will prove popular with our leisure passengers”.

The Winter Wonderland day trip departs on 6 December 2015 and costs £489/adult and £469/child. There are a number of free child places available.
