Basel and Bristol new easyJet destinations from Stockholm Arlanda

Basel and Bristol

easyJet continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport at a rapid pace. Now the carrier is launching two destinations at the same time – Bristol (Great Britain) and Basel (Switzerland), both new destinations from Stockholm Arlanda. With this launch, Swedish travellers will now have access to six direct routes with easyJet.

“easyJet is one of Europe’s largest airlines, and their fast rate of establishing routes at Stockholm Arlanda is naturally very satisfying. In less than a year, they have launched five non-stop routes from Stockholm. Obviously, that provides more options to Swedish travellers, but it also enables both tourists and business travellers to fly here conveniently,” said Elizabeth Axtelius, Aviation Business Director at Swedavia.

Basel, a city of culture, offers many museums, theatre and modern architecture, while France’s Alsace region is just a half hour away by car. The new direct route also makes it easy for Swedish skiers to fly conveniently to the Alps and the popular resorts of Engelberg and Andermatt.

Bristol, in southwestern England, is a city with a great deal of history but in recent years has also grown to become a hot spot for culture and creativity. People can easily travel from Bristol to the nearby classical town of Bath, the beaches of Cornwall, the green countryside of Devon or southern Wales.

Sophie Dekkers, easyJet’s UK Country Director, said: “We’re really pleased to announce these two new destinations, Bristol and Basel, to our network from Stockholm and we are confident they’ll be very popular with our passengers. Many people are already starting to plan ahead for their Winter holidays and with flights now on sale, they can take advantage of our low fares.”
