Operated by TAV Airports, Turkey's global brand in airport operations, Milas-Bodrum Airport is going to host Berlin and Hamburg flights of Germania Airlines. The first flight of Germania, which took off from Berlin by Boing B738, landed to Milas-Bodrum Airport on Thursday, May 5th, at 4:20 pm. The flight crew and 111 passengers of the flight were welcomed with flowers and greeted at a cocktail reception by TAV Milas-Bodrum and Germania officials. Flying t to Milas-Bodrum Airport for the first time, Germania will also commence Hamburg flights on Saturday, May 7th.

TAV Milas Bodrum Chief Operations Officer İclal Kayaoğlu stated: “TAV Airports took over the operation of domestic and international terminals of Milas-Bodrum Airport, one of the major tourism destinations in Turkey, in 2014 and 2015, respectively. As soon as TAV started to operate Milas-Bodrum Airport, we have begun our promotion campaigns to increase particularly direct international flights to Bodrum in collaboration with local authorities and NGOs. The expansion of launch of Bodrum's flight network with the launch of Berlin and Hamburg flights by Germania is a concrete result of our endeavors. We are confident that we would make a significant contribution to the regional tourism by continuing to expand our flight network".

Germania Turkey Sales Manager Ismail Polat expressed: “Following the recent developments in Turkey, many steps have been taken to turn a possible crisis into business opportunity. In line with the strategy of providing services at affordable prices by creating high customer satisfaction to increase the number of local and international passengers, Germania's belief in Turkish tourism has been strengthened; so we decided to launch flights in new destinations. We have commenced flights to Gazipaşa-Alanya and Milas-Bodrum airports, the most popular destinations in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, as of May. In 2017, whilst the number of these flights will be increased, new flights to other destinations in Turkey will also be launched".

Germania is going to facilitate weekly flights between Milas-Bodrum and Berlin on Thursdays between May 5th and October 27th and also make direct reciprocal flights from Hamburg on Saturdays between May 7th and October 29th.
