Milas-Bodrum Airport starts to host Moscow flights of Ural Airlines

Milas-Bodrum Airport started to host Moscow Domodedovo flights of Russian based Ural Airlines.

Operated by TAV Airports, Turkey's global brand in airport operations, Milas-Bodrum Airport has started to host Moscow Domodedovo flights of Russian based Ural Airlines. The first flight, which was performed on Thursday, August 25th by an Airbus A321 type aircraft, was welcomed with water arches on the apron. 200 passengers and the flight crew arriving at Bodrum were presented flowers by TAV Milas Bodrum officials. A cocktail reception was held to celebrate the first flight of Ural Airlines which has been recently included to the flight network of Bodrum. The reception was attended by Bodrum District Governor Mehmet Gödekmerdan, State Airports Authority (DHMI) Deputy General Director Engin Zırhlıoğlu, Milas-Bodrum Airport Police Department Branch Office Chief Yakup Püsküllü, Provincial Deputy Police Chief Haluk Baş, TAV Milas Bodrum Chief Operations Officer Iclal Kayaoğlu, Havaş Station Manager Fatma Abatay, Ural Airlines flight crew and passengers.

TAV Milas Bodrum Chief Operations Officer Iclal Kayaoğlu stated “As soon as TAV Airports took over the operation of Milas-Bodrum Airport, one of the major tourism destinations in Turkey, TAV started to carry out intensive works to expand the flight network in Bodrum. TAV continues its promotion campaigns to increase particularly direct international flights to Bodrum in collaboration with local authorities and NGOs. Including Moscow Domodedovo flights of Ural Airlines to Bodrum's flight network is an outcome of these endeavors. TAV will continue contributing to the regional tourism by expanding its flight network."

Ural Airlines is going to make direct reciprocal flights between Milas-Bodrum and Moscow Domodedovo three times a week, on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays between August 25th and October 16th, 2016.

Milas-Bodrum Airport hosts 53 airline companies launching domestic and international flights to a total of 80 destinations in 26 countries. Milas-Bodrum Airport welcomed more than 26,000 flights in 2015 while providing service to 3.9 million passengers.
