easyJet Plans For Take Off From Edinburgh to Sofia
On Tuesday the 1st of August, easyJet launched the sale of a new winter route from Edinburgh Airport to Sofia Airport, which will fly twice weekly from Saturday the 16th of December.
This flight will depart Edinburgh on Saturdays at 14:25, arriving into Sofia at 20:25, and depart on Tuesdays at 15:00, arriving at 20:40. The flight from Sofia Airport will depart on Saturdays at 20:50, arriving into Edinburgh at 22:35, and on Tuesdays it will depart Sofia at 21:25, arriving into Edinburgh at 23:10.
This route will serve as a gateway for passengers to access Bulgarian ski resorts, with 3 of Bulgaria’s most popular resorts within 3 hours reach of the Airport. This service will also enable the large number of Bulgarians living in Scotland to visit friends and relatives in Bulgaria over the festive period, as well as enabling Bulgarian passengers to visit Scotland and Edinburgh during the winter.
This flight route plays a continuing role in strengthening connectivity and tourism opportunities between Scotland and Bulgaria.
