Yemelyanovo airport (KJA) is the air gate of Krasnoyarsk region and one of the most important aviation hubs in the region. The airport’s advantageous geographic location makes it a strategiс hub on the air route between Europe and Asia. Presently, Yemelyanovo makes regular cargo and passenger flights of over 40 Russian and overseas carriers. Among them are Aeroflot, STC Russia, Transaero, Taymyr Airlines, Vladivostok Avia, UTair, S7, Uzbekistan Airways, Somon Air (Tajikistan), Нainan Airlines (China), ABC, as well as Lufthansa Cargo. The runway of Yemelyanovo airport (Magnetic Heading 288о) is capable to handling LTOs under ICAO category II. The runway condition, the airport facilities and the technology allows to service more than 50 types of aircraft, including Boeing-767, Boeing-747, А-330, MD-11, and Antonov 124-100. The airport’s capacity is 12 LTO per hour with the actual turnover exceeding 1.5 mln passengers per year.
