In 2007 the passengers of Kunming Wujiaba International Airport are 15,725,171(+8.9%); the cargo and mail are 232,656.3 tons(+6.1%); the aircraft movements are 148,128(+9.3%). Kunming Wujiaba International Airport is not only one, of the most important international port airports with the busiest taking-off and landing, but also a gateway hub airport in southwest China.
Kunming Airport is the first class national airport with 4E grade airfield, a runway of 3600 meters long, communication and navigation facilities of ILS, VOR/DME, and NDB. The airport is now available for Boeing747 and Airbus A340 to land and take off. At present, 18 domestic, abroad and regional airlines which run 167 air routes from Kunming to 57 domestic cities and to other 17 abroad and regional cities.
