Delta Air Lines Expands International Service in Pittsburgh: Nonstop Paris Flight Goes Daily for Entire Season in 2016; Delta One Offered

After seven successful years of nonstop transatlantic service from Pittsburgh International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, Delta Air Lines is once again expanding international service for the flight’s eighth year.

Delta will offer daily nonstop service to Paris starting May 1 through Oct. 29, 2016. Not only has the flight’s frequency increased this year, but May 1 also represents an earlier start for the season. In 2015, flights began on May 10, and daily flights were only offered during peak summer travel months (June-September).

“This flight has proven to be an important economic driver for our region, as well as a huge convenience for leisure travelers,” said Christina Cassotis, CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority. “We are excited by the community support of this flight that allows our partners at Delta to continue offering expanded options for ongoing international access and success for our region.”

Nonstop Pittsburgh to Paris is the fastest way to get to Europe and beyond. The service helps travelers avoid the busiest and most congested U.S. East Coast gateways. Flights will feature amenities including upgraded flat-bed seating, Westin bedding, Delta Studio entertainment, power at every seat, Tumi amenity kits and fine dining options in Delta One on the aircraft to make traveling abroad more comfortable.

At Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), passengers can connect to 100-plus destinations in Europe, Asia, India and the Middle East on Delta and SkyTeam partners Air France/KLM. The top destinations for travelers from PIT connecting through CDG are: Rome, Amsterdam, Athens, Budapest, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Barcelona, Bombay/Mumbai, and Madrid.

Pittsburgh International Airport is equipped with TSA PreCheck lanes for departing passengers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Global Entry Kiosks for faster international re-entry processing. Additionally, with a Trusted Traveler Enrollment Center located on the Ticketing Level in the Landside Terminal, travelers can also complete their enrollment interviews right inside the airport. In 2015, the airport also improved the international arrivals process to eliminate security re-screening.
