The beginning of the summer season at Warsaw Chopin Airport is marked by the coming of TAP, Portugal's leading airline, and the start of its regular operations on the Lisbon - Warsaw new route as of June 9th, 2009.

Flights will be operated five times a week:
Lisbon - Warsaw on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing at 16:50 and arriving at 21:45 (local time).
Warsaw - Lisbon on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing at 06:05 and arriving 09:05 (local time).
Passengers will be offered comfortable Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 162 passengers.

With TAP Portugal's new connection, Warsaw gains an important new route. Warsaw - Lisbon operated five times a week is the most important launch of the season that adds to more than 83 direct connections already served from our airport by 32 airlines. TAP's decision proves that even in the times of economic slowdown there is a place for development. I am sure that decision will pay of as Lisbon was definitely a market with an unsatisfied demand for air travel from Poland - said Michal Marzec, General Director, Polish Airports "State Enterprise".

TAP's new destination, Warsaw, is already very popular, with more than 15.000 tickets already booked from the start of operations up till year-end.
With the addition of this new route, TAP will enhance and diversify its European network, connecting from now on Lisbon and Warsaw, one of the most relevant and fast growing markets in Eastern Europe for both business and leisure traffic.

While responding to customers needs and expectations and reinforcing thereby its contribution to the increase of Tourism flows between both countries, TAP can also be instrumental in offering passengers originating from Poland the best flights to its domestic network as well as the most convenient, the fastest and direct connections beyond Lisbon onward to Brazil, where TAP operates to eight different gateways with 67 frequencies a week, or to its African destinations.

The growing popularity of Portugal as a tourist destination along with the high quality services offered by TAP, and the strong economical links between the two countries give reason to believe this new route will be a commercial success.

Tickets to Lisbon, starting at 408 PLN one way (all inclusive) as well as tickets to other TAP Portugal destinations can by bought at IATA travel agencies, at www.flytap.com, at TAP Portugal Warsaw town office, situated in the city center or via Polish Call Center (22) 620 05 97 or (22) 620 05 87.
