THOMAS COOK AIRLINES TO OFFER FLIGHTS TO USA AND CUBA IN WINTER 2015/2016
Thomas Cook Airlines has today announced that, in addition to the airlines weekly flight to Las Vegas next summer, it will operate a range of new flights to Holguin and Varadero in Cuba from Glasgow Airport during the winter months as well as extending its flights to Las Vegas. Operating on the airlines Airbus A330 fleet, the new flights will begin in November 2015.
Christoph Debus, CEO Thomas Cook Airlines said, “On top of our recent great news of our regular flight to Las Vegas next summer, it’s fantastic news that we have extended this programme into the winter – and can offer flights to Cuba too as holidaymakers seek out that winter sun. Holidaymakers now have even more choice when looking for winter sun long haul flights from Glasgow.
“It’s also great news that our winter flights will feature our new refurbished fleet, with some including our new Premium service. Our brand new long haul Economy cabins and service will challenge perceptions of our airline, and our new Premium will ensure our customers can experience a great range of services, flying in style to their winter break.”
Thomas Cook Airlines has recently released further details of its new cabin experience for customers on its Airbus A330 long haul fleet, with brand new Economy and Premium services bringing a great value product to long haul customers on its flights from May 2015. Francois Bourienne, commercial director at Glasgow Airport, said: “This is yet further good news from Thomas Cook Airlines which has once again reaffirmed its commitment to Glasgow with the addition of yet another long haul destination.
“Earlier this year it confirmed it would introduce Scotland’s first direct, regular service to Las Vegas and we are delighted it will offer direct flights to Cuba. Not only does it have a rich culture, it is it the largest island in the Caribbean and is home to wonderful beaches which will no doubt prove popular with passengers, particularly during the winter months.”

Thomas Cook Airlines UK (TCX) is part of the Thomas Cook Group and operates over from 20 airports across the UK, carrying 6.7m passengers to over 50 short-, medium- and long haul airports with over 200 holiday destinations including North America, the Caribbean Sea and India, as well as resorts across Europe.
