The Chisinau International Airport is located at the junction between the commercial roads of Asia and Europe and is the main air gateway of the Republic of Moldova.

Being situated 13 km away from the center of the capital, the Chisinau Airport is the main and biggest airport of the Republic of Moldova.

The Terminal processing capacity is of 1.2mln passengers per year and 425 passengers per hour. The runway is 3590 meters in length and 45 meters in width with the assigned 4C- code, being operable 24 hours a day.

Nowadays 16 airlines, 4 home and 12 foreign carriers, operate flights to 22 destinations all over the world. In 2011 the Chisinau International Airport processed 1045975 passengers which makes an increase of 11.16% compared to the previous year. This is a record number in the Airport’s history.
