Facts (Overview)
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority operates both Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport serving the Washington Region, home to 8.3 million residents with the highest median family incomes in the U.S. - an attractive and high yield market for international and U.S. airlines.
Washington Dulles is the primary international airport for the Region with 23 international carriers operating to 42 destinations in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Canada, Central and South America. US domestic service consists of 11 network and Low Fare airlines serving 88 U.S. destinations. The latest carriers to serve Dulles include Avianca in 2008; and Aer Lingus, COPA, Iberia, Qatar and Virgin America in 2007.
In 2009, Washington Dulles will experience a transformation with a new underground train system linking its terminals and concourses, a new security clearance mezannine, a 4th runway, and two international arrivals facilities both being greatly expanded.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority welcomes the opportunity to show you our market and our airports.
