BRUSSELS SOUTH CHARLEROI AIRPORT LAUNCHES ITS EARLY CHECK-IN SERVICE

Brussels South Charleroi Airport is pleased to announce the launch of its new Early Check-In service on 1 February 2016. As passengers prepare to take off, stress levels can often be high. Committed to looking after its customers and improving their experience at the airport, BSCA has developed this service whereby luggage can be checked in the day before departure, between 6pm and 10pm, for all flights taking off between 6.30am and 8.30am. This means that on the day of the flight itself, passengers don’t need to worry about checking in their luggage.

In practical terms, how does the Early Check-In service work?

Every evening, between 6pm and 10pm, a dedicated Early Check-In counter is open for anybody who would like to check in their luggage for a flight due to take off the next day between 6.30am and 8.30am. The whole family or group doesn’t have to be there, as long as one of the people travelling on the same booking comes to the airport with the luggage that needs to be checked in. The person responsible for checking in the luggage must however come to the airport with the travel documents and boarding cards for all the people due to travel the next day. A special Early Check-In tag will then be attached to the luggage containing all the passenger details as well as information about their flight.

Once all of these steps have been followed, passengers can relax for the night with one less thing to worry about. The next day, anybody who has used the Early Check-In service can avoid the stress of check-in and just go straight to their boarding gate without any hassle.

The Early Check-In service is designed to make life easier for passengers. The person who comes to check in the luggage the day before will get a ticket for one hour’s free parking in the Express car park. Any passenger who has decided to use the Early Check-In service will also get access to the Fastlane, a service giving passengers priority at the security lanes.

Jean-Jacques Cloquet, Brussels South Charleroi Airport’s CEO, explains: “Early Check-In is designed to offer passengers an additional service to make their time at the airport easier and give them the chance to enjoy a pleasant, stress-free experience. This comprehensive service will make life easier for many customers. Ridiculously simple, Early Check-In lets anybody check in their luggage a day in advance, so the next day, they have nothing to worry about, apart from thinking about what they’ll do when they get to their destination as they sip their coffee or wander around the airport. To make the passenger experience even more straightforward, by checking in their luggage the day before, the groups, families or single passengers who have chosen to use the Early Check-In service will get priority access to security. All these benefits make Early Check-In a fantastic service to make life easier for passengers by taking away all the stress.
