News for Brussels South Charleroi Airport: TUI fly expands its operations at Charleroi
Charleroi, 12 December 2016 – During a press conference today, Belgian airline, TUI fly, who have been at Charleroi since 2008, announced that it would be expanding its operations at BSCA. A fifth airplane will be joining the other four already based on the tarmac at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, meaning that they can now increase the frequency of some flights, as well as adding new destinations to the existing options to/from Charleroi. Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt and Italy will be added to the five countries already offered by the airline at BSCA. Exciting news for TUI fly and the airport, who are consolidating their partnership and offering passengers a broad range of destinations at very reasonable prices.
Having arrived in 2008, when they were known as Jetairfly, the airline that has changed its name to TUI fly has now transported almost 4.5 million passengers to/from Brussels South Charleroi Airport in the last eight years. At the moment, five countries are available if you are flying to or from Charleroi, namely Algeria, Spain, France, Greece and Morocco. With the arrival of their fifth airplane on the tarmac at BSCA, the airline plans to increase frequency on some lines, and is adding Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt and Italy to its destinations. The number of Moroccan cities will also be increased.
The new range of destinations available with TUI fly to and from Charleroi in summer 2017 includes Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Ouarzazate (Morocco), Essaouira (Morocco), Hurghada (Egypt), Trieste (Italy) and Naples (Italy). With these six new routes, TUI fly will be offering 28 destinations to and from Charleroi, as of April 2017.
