About The Airport

Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is an international commercial airport located at the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic.  The airport has experienced an average growth rate of over 11% year over year since the early 2000s. Over 7.8 million passengers currently arriving through PUJ on an annual basis, representing over 67% of all tourists visiting the Dominican Republic. With over 21,787 aircraft arrivals per year, PUJ enjoys being the gateway airport for Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and the United States.

Transportation 

Rental Car services are available on-site, including Avis, Hertz, Dollar, Budget, and Europcar. Taxis are also available. View Taxi Rates. A complimentary shuttle service is available for guests at Four Points by Sheraton at Puntacana Village.

Parking Terminal A & B

General parking:

Security & Inmigration

To enter the Dominican Republic, a valid passport with two blank pages is required.
You no longer need to buy a tourist card at the airport. The airlines are applying an extra $10 to your plane tickets on behalf of the Dominican government, this should greatly decrease the time you spend in customs. By Dominican law, there’s also a US$20 departure tax, the cost of which is usually included in your airfare (verify with your carrier). Airport Special Security (CESAC) follows but is not limited to TSA guidelines.

FBO Terminal 

Located west of the international terminal, the fixed base operations terminal at Punta Cana International Airport serves executive general aviation from international and domestic points of departure. Located east of the International terminal, the VIP Terminal is a private terminal and aircraft parking apron. Prior permission from airport management is required to use the VIP terminal.
