Boeing 747-8F certified; first delivery to Cargolux expected

Boeing's 747-8 freighter was awarded FAA and EASA certification Friday, paving the way for delivery of the first aircraft to launch customer Cargolux in early September.
FAA granted Boeing an Amended Type Certificate (ATC) and an Amended Production Certificate (APC), while EASA also granted the company an ATC for the airplane, Boeing said.
