Air Canada, flight attendants reach tentative pact to avert strike

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing nearly 7,000 Air Canada flight attendants, lifted its call for the cabin crew to strike last week after reaching a tentative agreement with airline management on a new labor contract.
