Al Baker: Europe should follow Gulf model

Qatar Airways’ (QR) outspoken CEO Akbar Al Baker took another swing at American and European regulators and governments, calling their comments that Gulf carriers distort the level playing field “pure hypocrisy.”
Speaking during a debate at the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) annual general meeting in Abu Dhabi, Al Baker criticized the new practice by some EU member states to include a fair competition clause in their air services agreements (ASA) with a number of Gulf States.
