P&W pushes biofuel development

Pratt & Whitney, which sees its future inextricably linked to the development of alternative fuel sources, has published “The Path to Fuel Readiness.”
P&W manager-Advanced Technology Stephen Kramer told attendees at the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative (CAAFI) Expo in Washington last week that the document was prepared following a meeting of its R&D team in February, when “confusion” and “lack of direction” was among audience feedback on what was needed for the certification step.
