US Airways, flight attendants reach tentative accord for merged contract

US Airways (US) has reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement with the Assn. of Flight Attendants (AFA) to unite US and former America West flight attendants. AFA represents the airline's 6,700 mainline flight attendants.
The tentative agreement, which must be approved by the AFA master executive council, will be sent to its members in the coming weeks. AFA did not announce details of the agreement.
