ROUTES EUROPE: Thomson Airways Enhances Leisure Links to Aruba

Posted 09/05/2011

UK charter operator Thomson Airways has confirmed that it will extend the schedule of its summer-only flights between the UK and the Caribbean island of Aruba.  The airline will provide weekly flights from London Gatwick until November 29, rather than October as originally planned, while it will relaunch the link from March 27 next year instead of in May.  Official statistics show that visitors to Aruba from the UK have increased by more than 60 per cent in the past two years and Thomson Airways’ additional flights will help reinforce the destination’s position as one of the top ten locations in the Caribbean for British travellers.  Alongside the London service, Thomson Airways also has a flight from Manchester which will continue to operate between May and October.
