Posted 10/06/2011

American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, inaugurated seven new routes yesterday (June 9), including flights to six destinations from Dallas Fort Worth International.  The new links include flights to two further destinations in Mexico; Mazatlan, Sinaloa (served daily by an Embraer ERJ 145) and Morelia, Michoacan (daily with an ERJ 140).  Together, American Airlines and American Eagle now serve 18 destinations throughout Mexico with more than 300 weekly flights.

The airline has also introduced a daily link to Durango providing better access into Southwest Colorado, in particular for the world-class skiing offering in the winter or for exploring the magnificent San Juan Mountains in the summer, while twice daily flights are being offered to Island's Central Nebraska Regional Airport providing an important hub connection for the local community.  American Eagle has also resumed a daily service to Asheville and a twice daily link to Montrose.

Away from Dallas, the carrier also inaugurated a twice daily operation between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport in Virginia.
