Routes has created a new smartphone application or App for its events which will make its debut at World Routes in Berlin this October. The app, which will need to be downloaded from the iTunes App store, Android Market or Blackberry download areas, will provide all attending delegates at Routes events with essential information about the particular Routes event they are attending.
The app for World Routes in Berlin will provide the following information to its users;
- Delegate Listings
- Airline Table locations
- Exhibitor Locations and Guide
- Floorplan
- Event Programme
- The HUB news
- City Guide
At the touch of a button delegates will be able to find all the latest event news, location of their company targets and find out what’s going on when at the largest gathering of airlines, airports and aviation stakeholders in the world.
Speaking to The HUB this week, Natasha Peck, Marketing Director for UBM Aviation Routes highlighted the benefits of the application. “The Routes app will allow us to provide more accurate information to our delegates which will enable them to make the most out of their time at our events. Customer research has shown a significant increase in the number of people using smartphones at Routes events. At World Routes in Berlin we are delighted to be able to unveil the first stage of our app development. This is an ongoing project for us and we hope to make further enhancements year on year in line with our delegates’ requirements”.

Natasha, great news. A most useful feature would be if there would be a diary application which sends a reminder 10-15 minutes before any event, briefing etc. If this would then be synced to my personal diary (including the one-to-one meetings) telling you where to go I would even consider paying a few Euros for it. With four seperate meeting halls in Berlin my feet will be grateful.
