Frontier Airlines Adds Little Rock and Palm Springs Links from Denver
Posted 12/08/2011
US carrier Frontier Airlines has announced that it will introduce two further flights from its main base at Denver International Airport this winter. The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, will add a non-stop service to Little Rock in Arkansas and a seasonal link to the Californian desert city of Palm Springs. Both routes will be inaugurated on November 17 with the latter service stopping in May 2012.
Both these markets are already served by SkyWest Airlines, a regional partner of United Airlines, which offers up to three flights a day to Little Rock, an O&D market of an estimated 52,000 travellers, and two flights per day to Palm Springs, a market of around 35,000 O&D passengers. Frontier will offer six flights per week on the Little Rock route and three weekly frequencies to Palm Springs using 99-seat Embraer 190 jets.
Alongside these new connections, Frontier Airlines has confirmed that it will increase frequencies on four of its existing routes from Denver for set periods during the last four months of the year. A seventh daily rotation will be introduced to Las Vegas between October 2 and December 12; a sixth flight will be offered to San Diego in October, while a second service will be introduced to Madison between September 8 and November 14 and Santa Barbara from October 6 to October 31.
