Industry Thought Leaders Sign up for Routes Asia

Routes Asia is the only network planning forum for the Asia region and the 11thRoutes Asia event will take place in Mumbai on 17-19 March 2013 and will be hosted by Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) which is managed by GVK group.

Registrations have already been received from network planners and other key decision makers from 45 airlines. India is an important market and for airports wishing to do business with Indian carriers Routes Asia in Mumbai is not to be missed. Airlines such as Air India, Jet Airways, Spicejet and IndiGo will attend with very senior delegations along with Air India Express and JetLite.

The event also promises a large Chinese presence with Air China, Hainan Airlines and China Southern Airlines all confirming their attendance in recent weeks whilst the Low Cost sector will also be well represented with attendance from Jetstar Airways, LionAir and Japanese carrier Peach Aviation who will attend their first ever Routes Asia event.

The event will also see more out of region carriers in attendance as they look to do business with the expanding markets such as China and India. Carriers from beyond the Asia region who have confirmed their attendance so far include American Airlines, Finnair and LOT Polish Airways.

Registrations from Airports and Tourism Authorities are also flooding in with recent confirmations of attendance received from London Stansted, Dubai Airports, Cairns Airport, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, London Gatwick Airport and Hawaii Tourism Authority. Narita International Airport Corporation has recently taken the Delegate Bag sponsorship package and Moscow Domodedovo Airport confirmed they will take an exhibition stand.

In addition to the Face-to-Face Meetings which are at the core of the event The Routes Asia Strategy Summit will open the event in Mumbai on Sunday 17thMarch. The specially developed content of this event will provide a valuable insight into aviation across the region and speakers who have already confirmed include Mr Andrew Herdman, Director General of Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), Mr Amber Dubey, Partner – Head of Aviation for KPMG India, Mr V P Agrawal, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India, Mr Martin Craigs, CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and Hou Wei, Chief Marketing Director of Hainan Airlines.
