This year World Routes will take place in Chicago from 20 - 23 September and The Hub can now reveal the range of exciting tours that will be available to all delegates during their time in the city. All of the tours are complimentary and have been generously arranged by our co-hosts; Chicago Department of Aviation, Choose Chicago and their partners.

Chicago is one of the most popular visitor destinations in the world. Its unique combination of bustling cityscape alongside beautiful parkland and stunning lakeside vistas saw over 46 million visitors in 2012. Each tour will allow delegates to explore the sights and sounds of this unique and beautiful city.

The Tour programme includes:

Architectural Tour

Only the Chicago Architecture Foundation and Chicago’s First Lady Cruises can showcase Chicago’s world renowned city and architecture with style, class and comfort. Learn about the architecture and design of over 50 buildings as described by CAF Certified Volunteer Docent

City Segway Tour

The Chicago Segway Tour is perfect for both newbies and natives alike. This three-hour tour will offer you a great orientation of the city. For veterans, we’re sure you’ll learn new facts and stories you’ve never heard before. For newcomers, we’ll give you an opportunity to see virtually all of the sites you know from movies, postcards and history.

Chicago Film Tour

This private tour will take you over 30 miles in less than 2 hours, venturing from Chinatown to Uptown, Lakeview to Downtown and everything in between. The Chicago Film Tour hits more than 30 sites where over 80 movies were filmed , from Hollywood blockbusters like The Dark Knight and The Fugitive to Chicago favorites like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Blues Brothers to movie classics like North by Northwest and The Sting. The tour is interactive and customizable and even offers team building trivia.

Golf
