World Routes Marketing Awards – Make your vote count!

There is just one week left to make a difference in the World Routes 2014 Marketing Awards. If you are a member of the airline network planning community then make sure you have your say and register your vote now.

When placing their vote on Routesonline.com, airlines should consider airports and destinations whose marketing efforts, over the last 12 months, have made a real impact on their future network development plans. Their market research activities, marketing communications, business case presentations and joint communication campaigns with third parties should all be taken into account when voting.

Once the airline network planning community has voted, the votes will be counted and the shortlisted airports and destinations contacted and asked for a submission to support their nomination. This submission process is designed to enable the shortlisted airports to provide information for the judging panel as to why they think they should win the award, providing evidence to support their case.

This year there will be 5 awards categories as follows:

  • Airports Under 4 Million Passengers
  • Airports 4 Million – 20 Million Passengers
  • Airports 20 Million – 50 Million Passengers
  • Airports Over 50 Million Passengers
  • Destination

Automatically shortlisted in the relevant category will be the overall winners of each of the regional heats which took place earlier this year; Tampa International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, City Airport Bremen and Kilimanjaro International Airport.

The Routes Marketing Awards were created in 1997 to recognise excellence in airport marketing as voted for by airlines. Today, these awards are widely regarded as the most sought after awards in the industry as they are voted for and judged by the airline network planning community.

Winners of these highly regarded awards will be announced during a ceremony which will take place at the World Routes Networking Evening on Monday 22 September which will take place at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.

Visit the World Routes Marketing Awards page on our website for important dates and all of the information you will need about the awards process.

Vote now and play an important role in deciding which airport wins one of these widely sought after accolades.
