WORLD ROUTES: Network Boost for Dominican Republic

Announced on the sidelines of this year’s 20th World Routes Development Forum, Aerodom will utilise the OAG Analyser suite of airline network analysis tools to strengthen its airport marketing and route development programmes.

The company currently holds the concession for the operation of six airports in the Dominican Republic; Santo Domingo Las Américas, La Isabela in Santo Domingo Norte, Gregorio Luperón in Puerto Plata, María Montez in Barahona and Presidente Juan Bosch and Arroyo Barril in Samaná.

Combined, the company manages more than 800 commercial flights a week, representing more than 5.6 million seats per annum. It’s remit includes airport modernisation and working alongside the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism and national hotel association to further stimulate the growth of the country’s tourism industry.

Aerodom’s route development manager, Riad Simon, told The HUB that the new partnership really offered Aerodom the chance to consolidate all of its operations onto one platform, streamlining processes and improving efficiencies. “Furthermore, OAG’s Analyser tools will offer us a deeper understanding of airlines’ network opportunities, enabling us to work more effectively with them for mutual benefit"

"The level of detail obtained from both the traffic and schedules suites will allow us to better analyze and present each case to potential airlines, and all in one click!” he added.
