Top tips to prepare for Routes Asia

Pre-Scheduled Meetings

Scheduling for this year’s Routes Asia will close on Friday 6th March, just two weeks from now! If your delegate package includes a diary of pre-scheduled meetings and you haven’t made your requests yet make sure you get them in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as diaries are filling up fast!

The online Meeting Requests System allows delegates with an entitlement of pre-arranged meetings to log-in and submit their requests online. To begin requesting meetings, delegates should follow the below steps:

  • Registeror Log-In to your free personal networking profile
  • Enter yourPRC (Personal Registration Code), which you should have received when you registered, into the box displayed on the homepage, ensuring you have selected Routes Asia on the slider
  • Click ‘Submit PRC’ and you will be directed to your meeting request page.

Draft diaries will be available to view online through the Meeting Requests System from Thursday 26th February which will allow all delegates to view the status of their meetings and assist in their preparations.

Preparing for your Meetings

The system also provides delegates with the perfect platform to prepare for their meetings at Routes Asia as, during the requesting process, access to Routesonline company profiles is available helping delegates select the right companies to meet with by providing all the information Routesonline has to offer straight to the central meeting requests page.

Company profiles on Routesonline can provide you with a wealth of information about the company you’re meeting with. Make sure your own company profile is kept up to date and start connecting with other delegates on Routesonline in the weeks leading up to the event. Initiate new, or continue existing dialogue with prospective customers ahead those all important meetings, whether pre-arranged or not, which will take place in Kunming.

Connect now and start networking!

Routes Asia App

Available to download soon, the Routes Asia App will ensure that all essential information is available at the touch of a button. The App will once again provide easy access to the event floorplan, airline table locations, meeting diary access, delegate listings, speaker profiles, city guide and social media links along with private messaging functionality.

Also new for this year, is our Electronic Extra Meetings System. In addition to our paper based system, the new electronic system will be digital and accessible via the official Routes App. This system will give delegates real-time updates about meeting requests as well as improving the speed of acceptance for requests and adding them straight into your meeting diary.

Further details about the Routes App and how to download it will be sent to all registered delegates prior to the event.

Hotel & Flight Information

If you have not yet secured your flights and hotel reservation, you should do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This year’s event will be held at the Yunnan Haigeng Convention Centre Kunming which is only five minutes away from one of our event hotels, the Intercontinental Kunming.

There are many hotels to choose from in Kunming but, during Routes Asia, we recommend staying in one of the official event hotels as not only will delegates benefit from preferential rates but also complimentary transfers to the event venue, networking evening and Kunming International Airport. Accommodation is still available in both the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Colorful Yunnan Kunming and the Intercontinental Kunming.

We are also delighted to announce China Eastern Airlines as the event official carrier. Exclusive to all Routes Asia delegates, China Eastern is pleased to be able to extend a 30% discount across all of their domestic flights booked before 1st March 2015.

If you have already booked your flight and hotel accommodation for Routes Asia please ensure the details are forwarded to Sarah Moon to help facilitate event transfers.

Visa Requirements

Make sure you have all the necessary documentation to travel to China. Visas must be obtained prior to arrival and ALL visitors to China require a visa with the exception of citizens of Japan, Singapore and Brunei who hold an ordinary passport. Further information regarding which countries will require a visa to enter China can be found here.

In addition to the visa application form, relevant fees and photos, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the inviting company. Delegates requiring such a document from our host, Yunnan Airport Group, should complete the electronic request form in full ensuring accuracy throughout.

Click here for further information on how to begin your visa application process and to request your invitation letter. Most embassies and consulates accept a scanned copy of the invitation letter and therefore our host will issue the letters to applicants via email as an attachment.

We’ll see you in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China for Routes Asia 2015!
