Ask the Experts

Routesonline is offering our readers the chance to ask a range of industry experts their views on the topics affecting the world of aviation. Our new feature will give you the opportunity to ask the questions you want answered either live on our panel of consultants at World Routes, or on our website as a continuous feature.

First up, we have John Grant, Director of JG Aviation Consultant; Yolanta Strikitsa, Director of Strikitsa Consulting; Robert Hill, VP Seabury Airline Planning Group; and Nigel Mayes, Senior Vice President- Consulting and Product Development of ASM. We asked the industry experts to give their opinion on the impact of the Brexit vote. This refers to the United Kingdom European Union membership referendum – voted on in June 2016, as to whether the UK would remain in or leave the EU.

In a shocking vote, a slight majority voted to leave the European Union, raising questions of the implications of the vote. Would it raise air fares? Would new legislation have to come into play when flying to EU countries? How would it affect the low-cost carriers? Three months on, our experts consider what the future holds for the world of aviation post-Brexit. Find out what our experts said.

If you have a question you would like put forward, please submit below. Your question may get asked to our panel at World Routes in Chengdu, or it can be answered later in our continuous online feature.
