Iceland Express to operate to New York.

Iceland Express has announced that it plans to operate a new 4x weekly service from its main base in Reykjavik to New York with EWR the most likely destination.
Iceland Express currently only operates short haul destinations from KEF and the new proposed route would see a shift in strategy for the carrier. Operating a B757 aircraft it would go head to head in the NY market with Icelandair, which currently operates a 12x weekly rotation into JFK.
