Volaris to add San Jose

Mexican budget carrier VivaAerobus has revealed plans to serve San Jose, California by launching new scheduled services from April 30.
It will serve its third US destination on a daily basis using A320 aircraft and will compete on the route with Mexicana which operates a ten-times weekly frequency.
IATA BSP data (Airport IS) shows that over 71,000 passengers flew directly and indirectly between Jan 08-09 with Mexicana having a 78% market share.
