Continental increases Osaka capacity

Fresh from annoucing a mega merger with United Airlines, Houston based Continental Airlines has announced that effective October 1st is adding a second daily service from its Guam hub to Osaka Kansai. It will operate B737-800 on the sector.
Continental faces competition on the route from the following carriers
- Delta Airlines- 14x weekly
- Jalways - 7x weekly
- Korean Air- 7x weekly
IATA BSP data shows that over 350,000 O+D pax flew the route between Feb 09-10 with JALways having a 38% market share.
