Virgin America heads to Dallas

Virgin America has announced that it will begin new non-stop services to Dallas from its west coast bases of Los Angeles and San Francisco. It will launch a double daily service to DFW from both of its bases from December 1st and December 6th respectively. It will face competition on both sectors from American Airlines and United Airlines.
American Airlines currently has a 73% share of the LAX-DFW market which has seen over 600,000 O+D passengers fly the route between May 09-10. AA also has a 66% share of the SFO-DFW market which saw nearly 400,000 O+D pax fly the sector during the same time period.
