SAS to run new China service
Posted 02/07/2011
SAS is to launch a new route from Heathrow to Shanghai via Copenhagen next March.
The service will operate five times a week and will be served by an Airbus A340-300 – the largest in the SAS fleet – configured over three classes, business, economy extra and economy.
Passengers travelling on the new route can connect to services across Asia with SAS partners Air China and Shanghai Airlines.
The Scandinavian airline already operates a service from the London hub to Beijing.
UK business and PR manager Scandinavian Airlines Jeff Rebello said: “The demand for flights to China continues to grow and we see the need to introduce an additional route to complement our successful Copenhagen-Beijing service. This new service from Heathrow to Shanghai makes southern China easily accessible for travellers from the UK.”
