JetBlue unlimited pass flies again

The “All You Can Jet” pass attracted a loyal following. And when it was not renewed this year, there were blogger and others who expressed disappointment. So never say the airlines never listen to consumers: Jet Blue has brought the program back.

JetBlue has a new promotion: BluePass, which will allow travelers to take an unlimited number of flights out of its hubs in Boston or Long Beach, Calif., over a three-month period, for one flat rate.

There are three options:

Flights can be booked for dates from Aug. 22 to Nov. 22, and scheduled up to 90 minutes before departure, with no fees to change or cancel the flight.

The last such offer, “All You Can Jet” provided 30 days of travel across the United States, the Caribbean, Colombia and Costa Rica for $499, or ($699 for those who wanted to fly on Fridays and Sundays).

Mary Holman, Luxury Travel Examiner, says the new pass is an “amazing bargain” because they have extended the time frame from 30 days to 90 days. However, the price is higher.

The pass will be on sale until Aug. 31 or until sell out, says JetBlue.

The programs were popular with both leisure and business travelers, according to the airline.

“The current pass is “clearly aimed at business travelers which JetBlue has been aggressively targeting in both Boston and Los Angeles,” said Jami Counter, senior director of Flights at TripAdvisor, in an e-mail to the wire services.
