BA introduces new check-in automation at Gatwick

British Airways is taking check-in automation to a new level at Gatwick Airport with a new ‘Fast Travel’ service.
Part of an initiative by the International Air Transport Association, new technology means BA check-in kiosks at Gatwick will now be able to print baggage tags as well as check travel documents automatically.
In recognition of the airline’s investment in new technology at Gatwick, IATA has awarded the airline a ‘Gold’ award.
BA said this marks the first time a UK-based airline has achieved such an award and is only the second time that such a distinction has been given to any airline in the world.
