Greek strike latest update

Posted 20/10/2011

A strike by Greek air traffic controllers, which started at midnight, has been reduced from 48 hours to 12, meaning flights that had been cancelled will now operate as planned.

Some 150 international and domestic flights have been grounded, but British Airways and easyJet confirmed this morning that many of their previously cancelled or postponed flights will now go ahead.

EasyJet said all its flights would operate today and tomorrow. BA said passengers could book rebook seats they had previously cancelled on flights to Athens today and tomorrow, but its flights between Gatwick and Thessaloniki have been pushed back to later in the week.
