WORLD ROUTES 2011: Condor Boosts North American Network

German carrier Condor is extending its route network to North America by around a third during summer 2012, as well as adding two new destinations to its network with bi-weekly links to Toronto and Baltimore-Washington. The additional services include extra rotations from Frankfurt to Las Vegas, Seattle and Vancouver, offering its customers more flexibility when planning holidays.

"By adding these flights, we are reacting to the increased demand for flights to North America during the summer", explained Achim Lameyer, Vice President Passenger Sales, Condor. "The new destinations supplement our current flight network across the North Atlantic and create a larger variety of destinations for Condor passengers.”

Toronto was previously served by Condor in summer 2006, while Baltimore-Washington was integrated in the Condor network for the first time in July this year. The Frankfurt – Toronto route is already served three times daily with Air Canada offering two rotations and Lufthansa a single daily service, while Air Transat also offers seasonal flights. An estimated 116,000 O&D passengers travelled on the route in the past year, up 19.6 per cent on the previous 12 month period.
